I’ve been a horse lover, rider and owner all my life and probably drew horses before I tried to draw anything else. This painting was inspired by a hunter owned by a friend. the paint was applied by means of stout oil bars, bars of oil paint like giant crayons. they can be worked into later with turps and a brush. I only had a limited number of them. Sometimes limitation is the mother of creativity.
